- What is Tiiny?
Tiiny is your own personalised portal and link directory for your mobile device. We seek out links to the best mobile content and mobile friendly sites on the web and divide them into categories, including news, special interest, social and web tools.
With Tiiny, you can customise what links show up on the home page so that all your favourite sites are always at your fingertips.
- What are these little icons?
On the home page, links are represented as 16 x 16 pixel icons to maximise the screen real estate of your device. To see a description of the links, click on the respective categories, and you will be shown more links in the category, along with detailed descriptions for each.
- How do I personalise my Tiiny homepage?
First, you will need to create an account so that we can remember your preferences. When you log in next and navigate to a category, each link will be shown with a checkbox beside it. Check those you want to appear on your home page, and vice versa. Then select "Save to Home Page" at the bottom of the screen, and your home page selections will be saved.
- What other features?
On the home page, we have provided some tools to make your mobile browsing easier:
- A Google search box, labelled "Google", which will launch a search through Google's mobile search portal.
- A mobile web page renderer, labelled "Other", which will take any URL provided and "mobify" it so that it is easily readable on your device.
- How about those little numbers on the side?
Being a mobile friendly site, we have built in some access keys to speed up your browsing. Pressing the number on your keypad will jump to the corresponding link, without you having to scroll down and manually select it.
For example, pressing "3" will take you to the "Tools" category. On that page, pressing "4" will launch the fourth link listed.
- My favourite site is not there!
We check all our links for quality and mobile friendliness, so if it is not listed, it either means that it doesn't meet our critieria, or we haven't discovered it yet (most likely the latter).
Feel free to submit or suggest any links you feel we should include in our directory. You can do this via the "submit" menu item, once you have logged in.
- Why do I have to create an account? What will you do with my private data?
Tiiny account details are used purely to keep track of your home page customisations, and email address are used for password recovery. Rest assured, we hold your privacy with utmost respect and do not trade, sell or misuse your personal data.
- Help, I can't remember my password!
If you're logged in, simply click on the "Profile" menu item, and then select the "Change Password" option.
If you are not logged in, click on the "Login" menu item, then the "Forgotten Password" link under the Password box. An email containing your password will be sent to the email address you signed up with.
- I have a suggestion / comment / complaint!
We welcome all feedback - simply drop us an email us at mail@tiiny.com and we will be in touch.
